The 2025 Queen's Cup® Race will start on Friday, June 27, 2025
Plan now to join the fleet for the time-honored tradition of sailing the Queen’s Cup ® Race. The 86th sailing of this overnight race is brought to you by South Shore Yacht Club and sails across Lake Michigan from Milwaukee, WI, to Muskegon, MI.
Competitors navigate approximately 66 nautical miles, often contending with shifting winds and varying weather conditions on the open waters of Lake Michigan. Sailors compete for the chance to win one of the oldest trophies in yacht racing.
The event is not only a competition but also a celebration of camaraderie and the enduring spirit on sailing tradition. Be on the starting line for a sailing experience that is a highlight of the summer sailing season.
This year, the race continues its tradition of excellence with the support of Nautical Cloud for race management and the trusted Yellow Brick Tracking system to provide live updates and ensure safety throughout the event.
The race will feature a diverse fleet of sailboats, with classes for a wide range of participants, from seasoned racers to cruising enthusiasts. The Muskegon Yacht Club will host the post-race festivities, welcoming competitors to celebrate their accomplishments on the other side of Lake Michigan.
